Red velvet cake or Beetroot cake recipe

 

Beetroot cake or Red velvet cake using natural colour

Ingredients

Eggs - 2
Beetroot - 1 peeled and chopped
Sugar - 3/4 cup 150 grams
Wheat Flour - 1 1/2 cup 180 grams
Baking soda - 1 tsp
Vanilla essence -1 tsp
Oil - 1/2 cup 120 ml
Cocoa Powder - 1/4 cup 25 grams
Chocolate chips as needed (optional)


Method:
Preheat oven to 180 degree C.
LIne a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Take all ingredients except wheat flour and baking soda in a blender and puree till smooth.
Add wheat flour, baking soda and mix gently.
Add choco chips and mix.
Pour into baking pan and Top with more chocolate chips if needed.
Bake for 30 to 40 mins at 180 degrees
Check at 30 minutes with a knife or tooth pick to see if it's done
Remove and cool completely.
You can do fresh cream frosting if you like before serving.

Slice and serve.
