How to make eggless basic sponge cake at home
Easy to make sponge cake /plain cake recipe
Ingredients:
¾ cup butter at room temperature
1 and a half (1 ½) cup milk
1 and a half (1 ½) cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
3 cup maida
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
Method:
In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar nicely with a
whisk or beater until it becomes a creamy mixture. Add milk and vanilla essence
and mix well to form a combined mixture. Now add sieved maida, baking powder,
baking soda and salt into the mixture and mix well until it forms a smooth
flowing batter.
Pour the mixture into a greased cake mould and bake in a
preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. Check after 30-35 minutes as it
depends on oven for the baking time. Bake until an inserted tooth pick or fork
comes out clean.
