How much sugar should be added to ragi sari for babies?

This is a question that every new mom has while she starts solid food for her child. And, Ragi is one of the best food to give to children as it's nutritious, calcium-rich, and has fiber too.

However, adding sugar is a big no-no. Avoid adding sugar to the baby foods like Ragi Sari, or any vegetables or rice. Add a generous amount of ghee (preferable homemade cow ghee), and always make the baby food, semi-solid and not solid. This will be easily digestible. If needed add a tiny little pinch of salt or maybe organic jaggery a pinch.

As far as my kids were concerned I never added sugar to the ragi sari or any baby foods. Infants cant make out the taste and they will start eating the same if continued like that. Actually for my kids until they were 6 years I never added sugar to milk also. They would think that is the taste and they will get used to it.

So adding sugar to ragi sari for babies or any food is not recommended.
