Nucchinunde recipe / Steamed Dal Dumplings
Healthy, protein rich meal.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Toor dal
1/2 cup Channa dal
1/2 cup chopped dill leaves (sabsige soppu)
1/2 cup grated coconut
Jeera 1 tsp
Chilli chopped fine 1 tsp
Ginger grated 1/2 tsp
Hing a pinch
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves 1/2 tbsp chopped
Salt to taste
Method:
Soak dals for 3 hours and grind to a coarse paste in a mixer.
To this add all the ingredients and mix well to make a moist dough.
Make dumplings by taking small ball size dough in hand and pressing.
Steam it for 15 minutes in a a steamer or idli cooker on a plate.
Serve hot with ghee.
