Easy to make Karachi halwa or Bombay halwa in Microwave oven

Karachi Halwa recipe in 15 minutes in Microwave oven

Tasty and yummy, delicious halwa in minutes. 



















Ingredients:

Corn flour - 1/2 cup
Water - 1 and 1/4 cup
Sugar - 1 cup or 1 1/4 depending on the sweetness you want
Ghee 2 tbsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Cashew nuts and melon seeds
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
Food color any - one pinch or 3 drops

Method:
Take a steel plate or any flat bowl to set the halwa and grease with ghee and keep aside. 
In a deep microwave safe glass bowl... Add corn flour, sugar, food colour and water and give a nice mix. Stir until sugar dissolves. 
Then at full power microwave for 3 minutes. 
Take the bowl out and give nice mix to make it uniform. 
Again microwave for 3 minutes and take out and mix nicely using a spatula or whisk. Add lemon juice and mix well. 
Repeat this process 4 times. 
The last time you have to add the nuts/seeds and ghee and mix well
Microwave the last time, mix nicely and check If ghee is separating. The mixture should not stick to your hands. That means its done. 
Immediately transfer to the greased plate and press nicely upto the thickness you want and allow it to set. Cool it completely for 3-4 hours. Or cool it to room temperature and put in fridge for half an hour. Then you can cut in desired shape and sizes and serve
