NanKhattai cookies recipe

NanKhattai recipe is very quick to make tea time snack.

Yummy melt in the mouth cookies is very easy to make if you have all the ingredients.

So here is the recipe...

Ingredients:
Besan/gram flour - 1 cup
Maida - 1 cup
Fine suji - 2.5 tbsp
Powdered sugar - 1/2 (half) cup
Salt a pinch
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Melted butter - 1/2 cup and a little more as required.
Cashews, Pista or almonds for decorating.

Method:
Mix all the dry ingredients and then add the butter and make a dough. It should be just binding together as a ball. Add little more melted butter if required when kneading after using the half cup.
Once the dough comes together. Make small balls of equal sizes and form like a peda with a dent in between and stick the nuts. Place them in a non-stick cookie plate lined with butter paper if you have.
Preheat then microwave convection mode at 150 degrees and then bake the cookies for 15 minutes at the same temperature.
Please check after 12 minutes as it depends on your oven. It might be more than 15 or less than it.
The cookies should be slightly brown on top.
Cool completely and store in airtight container.
