Pasta in white sauce

How to make white Pasta?

Here is a simple and quick recipe of pasta in creamy white sauce. 

My children are crazy about pasta and they would never say no even if I feed them everyday.

Pasta, is considered nonhealthy by us traditional Indians; however it's taste reminisces the youngsters.

You can choose the type of pasta you want according to your wish and type of pasta you want to eat.  I generally choose the whole wheat penne or the spiral pasta.

So here we go with the Pasta recipe...



Ingredients :
  1. Pasta (cooked and drained) - 2 cups
  2. Mixed veggies (Boiled)   -  1/2 cup.  You can use carrots,  peas,  broccoli and colored capsicums or peppers.
  3. Milk -  1/2 cup
  4. Refined flour -  1 tbsp
  5. Butter -  1 tbsp
  6. Oregano - 1 tsp
  7. White pepper powder -  1/2 tsp
  8. Salt to taste.
  9. Cheese -  1/2 cup grated (optional)
Method :
  • Cook the pasta as per the instructions on the packet and keep aside. Retain the water from the cooked pasta.
  • Heat a frying pan, add butter and roast the flour until a nice aroma comes... Ensure not to burn the flour.  Then add milk, little by little, bring to a boil and cook well until a sauce-like mixture is formed. You can add extra milk if needed to achieve the consistency. 
  • Then add pepper, Oregano and a pinch of salt.  Then add the pasta and cooked veggies.
  • Simmer for 5-8 mins. Add the drained water of pasta and veggies if you need a little thin consistency.  If you want to add cheese just add it few minutes before you switch off the flame. Your pasta is ready to serve.
