Ingredients:
Maida - 200 gms
Plain Curd - 250 ml
Oil - 125 ml
Sugar - 175 gms
Baking powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Method:
Cream the sugar and curd until sugar dissolves completely. Add baking powder and soda to this mixture and mix well. Keep it aside for few mins until it starts bubbling. Then add oil and vanilla essence and mix well. Next add maida little by little and mix well to form a smooth paste. Preheat oven to 200 deg C for 10 mins. Pour the mixture into a greased cake tin/mould and place the pan in the oven and bake the cake for 15-20 mins at 180 deg C.
Check the cake by putting a tooth pick in center of the cake, if it comes out clean it means its done; if not bake for another few mins. Let the cake cool down in the pan for 10 mins before you invert it onto a plate. Once it completely cools down, cut into slices and serve for evening snacks.
